Offline-First Operations
Works offline
Remote operations continue even when connectivity disappears.

The Friction
Lobster operations in Sumbawa run across remote areas with unreliable internet. Teams still needed to log catches, manage fishermen and buyers, track orders, and monitor operations even when connectivity dropped.
- Cloud-only tools failed in the exact locations teams operated.
- Disconnected periods forced double entry after reconnecting.
- Operations tracking became fragmented across manual workarounds.
The MVP
We built an offline-first platform with sync queue architecture. Data writes locally first, then syncs in the background when signal returns, with queue states for pending and failed items.
Offline-first MVP delivery
- Local-first write model with background sync queue
- Visible pending and failed queue states for operators
- CSV import/export, snapshot dashboards, and order timelines
The Numbers
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Connectivity | Cloud-dependent | Fully offline |
| Data handling | Double entry after reconnect | Auto-sync queue |
| Operations | Fragmented | Unified dashboard |
